al-Rasikh: Journal of Islamic Law is a Journal published twice a year in print and online by Institute Agama Islam Darullughah Wadda'wah Bangil Pasuruan. This statement explains the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles in al-Rasikh: Journal of Islamic Law, including the authors, the editorial board, the review partners, and the publishers. This statement is based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
To validate the submitted articles, the editorial team checked the manuscript on Google Scholar and also used the paid plagiarism checker software, TURNITIN.
The publication of articles in al-Rasikh: Journal of Islamic Law is an important building block in the development of a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. The articles reviewed support and contain the scientific method. Therefore, it is important to agree on the standards of ethical behavior that are expected for all parties involved in publishing, namely: Authors, Journal Editors, Review Partners, Publishers, and The Public.
Institute Agama Islam Darullughah Wadda'wah Bangil Pasuruan as publisher of al-Rasikh: Journal of Islamic Law is responsible for overseeing all stages of publishing seriously and acknowledges ethical and other responsibilities. The institution is not only committed to ensuring that reprint advertising and other commercial income does not have an impact or influence on editorial decisions, it is also committed to assisting communication with other journal managers and or publishers if deemed useful and necessary.
al-Rasikh Editor: The Journal of Islamic Law is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted should be published. The validation of the work and its importance to researchers and readers should always drive that decision. Editors may be guided by the discretion of the journal's editorial board and limited by legal requirements as they must be enforced regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult with other editors or the review team in making this decision.
Editors always judge manuscripts based on their intellectual content without distinction of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.
Editors and editing staff may not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the authors, expert editors, review partners, and publishers.
Every manuscripts received for assessment must be treated as confidential documents. The document may not be shown or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.
The Bestari Partner assists editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communication with authors can also help authors improve their writing.
Any selected rater who feels unqualified to assess the research reported in a manuscript or knows that his rapid review will be impossible should notify the editor and absolve himself from the assessment process.
Assessment must be done objectively. Personal criticism of the author is not allowed. Assessors must state their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Assessors must identify relevant published works that were not cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported must be accompanied by a relevant citation. An assessor should also ask the editor to note any similarities or overlaps between the manuscript being assessed and other published work.
Fair acknowledgment of the work of others should always be given. Authors should cite publications that were influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
Unpublished material disclosed in a submitted manuscript may not be used in the editors' own research without the express written consent of the author.
Confidential information or opinions obtained through the assessment of bestari partners must be kept confidential and may not be used for personal gain. Assessors should not weigh manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest stemming from a competitive, cooperative or other relationship or connection with any author, company, or institution with which the article relates.
All authors must disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict that may be suspected of influencing the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All financial support for the project must be disclosed.
Authors must present an accurate account of the work produced and an objective discussion of its significance. The main data must be represented accurately in writing. An essay should include sufficient detail and references to allow others to repeat the work. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.
Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works, and that they have quoted correctly when using other people's works or words.
An author in general may not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or major publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is unethical and unacceptable behavior.
Authorship should be limited to those who made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. All significant contributions must be listed as co-authors. If there are other people who take part in certain important aspects of the research project, they must be acknowledged or listed as contributors. Appropriate authors must ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included in the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have approved its submission for publication.
If an author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in his published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately notify the editor or journal publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the writing.
