The first step is to check plagiarism against offline database developed by Research Departement (Lemlit) Darullughah Wadda’wah Islamic Institute of Pasuruan, Indonesia. Secondly, against as much as possible online databases.

Jurnal Pendidikan Islam uses the Turnitin plagiarism checker application to find out the similiarity threshold which is set 20% maximum. Even though the author has carried out plagiarism checks independently, the editorial board will still carry out plagiarism checks in an effort to obtain quality articles. In addition, articles that exceed the threshold are automatically rejected by the editorial board (Terms and Conditions).
